Breottle Feeding

Some breast feed, some bottle feed, some do both.  Either way it comes with a variety of "fun" idiosyncrasies; from the babies that is.  Isla's top three:

1.  "The Spray"

Isla does this nursing or drinking from her bottle.  She is going about her business when suddenly she looks at me and I start to see the smile begin in her eyes.  As it's creeping her little lips up into a full smile I can't help but smile back.  I must have one hilarious smile because then she busts up laughing, spraying milk everywhere. 

2.  "Peek-A-Boo"
Isla's favorite game in public areas.  Such as the plane.  I'll let you guess how this game goes down.  Your hint is that it involves the hooter-hider.  Oh yes.

And last but not least ...

3.  "Eat your Boogers"  

This is when Isla pokes her fingers up in my nose then jams the same finger back into my mouth.  Nice isn't it.

I know this picture is you with hardly any sleep for the last 48 hours but I love it anyway.  I love you holding our little girl as a father for the first time.  I love how much she loves snuggling up to you and knows she is safe in your arms.  And I love the comparison of your hand and her tiny body cradled inside.  It represents how I love that you take care of us and your incredible indescribable love for us.  Thank you.

And in honor of our move to Winnemucca and the many many conversations we have had about moving away from family.  I share with you these lines from a song:

Recently, I got another cold.  Really?  I think I did my time when we first moved here with the worst cold of my life, and Isla's for that matter.  Anyhow, Isla get's a total kick out of me blowing my nose.  She thinks it's hilarious.  Which helps when I feel miserable.  So glad someone thinks it's funny.
